Your new company is an established reputable company based in Chester looking to appoint an experienced Chartered Surveyor to head up their Property & Asset Management Team. You will be required to help provide a high level of service for a diverse commercial property portfolio: industrial, office and retail properties. You will cover a region of Cheshire, Wales, Wirral & Merseyside. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and grow a property management team with full P&L responsibility.
You will be proactive in identifying opportunities to maximise rental income and will advise on value enhancement initiatives. This includes lease re-gearing, change of use, funding alterations, service charge budgets, surrender and renewals. They work closely with long-standing clients to ensure compliance with current regulation and provide strategic advice on work required to meet future changes in the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard, thus protecting asset value.
What you'll need to succeed:
- The ideal candidate should be MRICS qualified and experienced in dealing with property and asset management related matters.
- Ideally having led a team of their own previously with an ability to manage people and systems to maximise efficiency and performance.
- The role will involve leading and working within the Property and Asset Management team with a wide array of tasks and responsibilities.
- The role is a good mix of office-based work and site visits with a flexible view on home working.
- Excellent communication skills both face-to-face, over the phone and in writing.
- Attention to detail and proactive thinking.
- Independent problem-solving.
- Strong Office 365 proficiency (with particular focus on Excel).
- Prudent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload.
- Ideally experience using TRAMPS.
