About the Role
As an
Associate Maintenance Manager , you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations within a leading global pharmaceutical organisation.
This position is responsible for driving maintenance excellence, equipment reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and asset performance across the manufacturing environment.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and operational teams, you will help ensure assets operate safely, reliably, and compliantly while delivering ongoing improvements in performance and efficiency.
The successful candidate will combine strong engineering knowledge with experience in maintenance, asset management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Essential
- Experience delivering maintenance and process improvement activities within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Relevant Engineering Degree, HNC or equivalent technical qualification.
- Strong understanding of maintenance best practices and asset reliability.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), TPM, RCM, FMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyse performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
- Understanding of OEE, Pareto analysis, and performance measurement techniques.

Responsibilities
- Asset Reliability & Performance
- Support the delivery of maintenance and production activities through effective planning and coordination.
- Improve asset reliability, robustness, and operational performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce downtime and improve equipment effectiveness.
- Support maintenance strategies that maximise asset availability and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement
- Lead and deliver improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Utilise tools such as TPM, RCM, RCA, FMEA, and Value Stream Mapping to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop business cases supported by performance and operational data.
- Drive standardisation and best practice across engineering and production teams.
- Technical Support & Problem Solving
- Provide technical expertise to support production and engineering teams.
- Lead investigations into equipment failures and recurring issues.
- Deliver effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Support troubleshooting activities to identify root causes and long-term solutions.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all activities comply with GMP, SHE, engineering standards, and site procedures.
- Support change management processes and equipment modifications.
- Contribute to validation, qualification, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and engineering records.
- Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Projects teams.
- Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
- Support maintenance governance meetings and continuous improvement forums.
- Act as deputy to the Maintenance Manager when required.
- Data & Performance Management
- Review asset performance data using SAP, OEE, Pareto analysis, and other reporting tools.
- Monitor maintenance performance and identify trends.
- Develop action plans to address performance gaps and risks.
- Support reporting activities and continuous improvement tracking.
