Your new company is a well-established, rapidly growing PLC, with a fantastic reputation and a global presence.
Your new role involves leading the Group consolidation process, ensuring the timely production of high-quality financial reporting and insightful commentary to support decision-making. You will review and enhance financial and management reporting processes, identifying opportunities for improvements in accuracy, efficiency and output. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing the Group's interim and statutory accounts, ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. You will build strong relationships with divisional and functional leaders, providing both support and constructive challenge while contributing to key business initiatives and enhancing technical accounting capability across the Group. Additionally, you will develop, mentor and support a high-performing team, while establishing and maintaining robust financial reporting controls to reduce risk and improve reporting reliability. You will partner with external auditors to ensure an efficient and effective audit process and liaise with professional advisers where required. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain Group accounting policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards and consistent adoption across the Group.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified ACA accountant with a strong technical accounting background, ideally gained within a Top 10 accountancy practice firm. A strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP is essential, alongside the ability to provide clear and insightful financial analysis to senior stakeholders. You will have a proven track record of driving process improvements, strengthening financial controls and influencing business leaders across a large and evolving organisation. Experience of working with listed, private equity-backed or multi-entity groups would be advantageous.
In return, you will join a well-known PLC with an excellent reputation. The business is constantly evolving, and the team is passionate about providing opportunities for development and career progression. You will receive a salary of up to 80,000, depending on experience, along with a 10% bonus, hybrid working in South Manchester, and a range of other benefits.
