About the Role

Hays are exclusively partnering with a fast-growing and dynamic business on the outskirts of Cheltenham, to recruit a Senior Management Accountant for an initial 3-4-month period. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment. Working closely with operations, you will play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, improving processes, and simplifying complex financial data to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of weekly and monthly management reporting for operational stakeholders
  • Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Reconciliation of stock accounts
  • Analysis of operational statistics and performance data
  • Reconciliation and management of supplier rebates
  • Work with large, complex data sets (mostly Excel) to produce clear and actionable insights
  • Supporting process improvements, particularly around existing spreadsheet-based systems
  • Knowledgeable of IFRS16 practices

Person Specification

  • Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred; strong QBE candidates will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in a Management Accounting or similar role.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to manage and simplify complex data.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in working with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and willing to engage with teams to understand processes.
