Southend City Council's Targeted Youth Support Service have some exciting new opportunities to join the team at Shoebury Youth & Community Centre as permanent part-time Positive Activities Workers. The team are expanding the multimedia and art opportunities that are offered to young people. They are particularly keen to hear from individuals with a passion for music, dance, drama & creative arts.

This role involves delivering engaging and inclusive sessions that help young people to express themselves & develop new skills that promote health, confidence, and wellbeing.

  • Wednesday 17:00 - 21:30pm 4.5hrs
  • Thursday 17:00-20:00pm 3hrs
  • Friday 15:00pm - 21:30pm 6.5hrs

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have experience of working with children and young people. Be flexible, compassionate, calm, understanding, fun, able to manage difficult situations and be a good listener. You must have a passion for the arts and enjoy being creative with others.
