Southend-on-Sea City Council are looking to appoint a full-time permanent Children Looked After (CLA) experienced Advanced Practitioner. Within this position, hybrid working opportunities are available. However, you are required to be on-site at the Civic Centre a minimum of 2 days a week.

Within this position, you will be required to provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people, some of which will be complex and sensitive cases. There will be a need to undertake responsibility for some areas of work in the day-to-day running of the team, including supervision of identified team members.

You must have evidence of continuing professional development, including management skills training, knowledge of child protection, children looked after and associated children in need of social work practice issues. A broad and consistent range of experience of working with cases of child abuse, looked after children, children in need and court work.
