Your new role We are seeking a commercially minded Credit Control Manager to lead their credit control function and play a key role in maintaining strong cash flow across the business.

This is a rewarding opportunity to combine financial expertise with a purpose-driven environment.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring the timely collection of payments, reducing aged debt and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

You'll work closely with local authority finance teams, operational managers and placement teams to resolve queries, improve processes and maximise cash collection performance.

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the credit control function.

Manage outstanding debt and drive timely collections.

Build effective relationships with local authority finance teams.

Produce accurate aged debt reports, cash flow forecasts and credit analysis.

Resolve invoice queries and negotiate repayment arrangements where required.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across credit control processes.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation.

We're looking for an experienced Credit Control Manager with: A proven background in credit control, accounts receivable or debt recovery.

Experience working with public sector clients and/or local authority payment frameworks.

Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Advanced Excel and financial systems' knowledge.

The ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.

A proactive, analytical and solutions-focused approach.
