A well‑established residential developer is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support ongoing new‑build housing projects in the Carlisle area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to join a high-performing site team on either a freelance or permanent basis.
Your new role
- Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of new-build housing units, maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety, and programme performance.
- Assisting with day‑to‑day site operations across a live housing development.
- Supporting the coordination of subcontractors and trades.
- Monitoring build quality in line with NHBC and company standards.
- Ensuring site safety compliance and maintaining accurate site records.
- Contributing to progress meetings, reporting, and programme updates.
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and customer care teams.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager within new‑build housing.
- Strong knowledge of NHBC standards and residential construction methods.
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and support a busy construction programme.
- Professional, organised, and committed to delivering a high‑quality product.
