Seeking a highly organised, process-driven HR professional to lead and centralise our HR administration and advisory support across our UK operations. With a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees and Workday in place, we are looking to improve the rigour, consistency, and efficiency of our HR service delivery.

This role will be pivotal in managing and improving HR administrative processes, ensuring fair allocation of work, and supporting the HR team with advisory responsibilities. You'll work closely with HRBPs and Centre of Excellence to ensure a high-quality, compliant, and responsive HR service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the HR Assistants to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely HR admin support.
  • Implement and manage a centralised HR admin inbox and fair task allocation system.
  • Drive improvements in HR admin processes, checklists, and documentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in all employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, changes, leavers, etc.).
  • Provide hands-on support for employee relations cases, including performance management, grievances, and absence management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, particularly in operational and finance teams.
  • Support the Head of Employee Relations with policy implementation and case management.
  • Champion the effective use of Workday, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Train and support the team in getting the best out of the system.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to the HR Assistants.
  • Work collaboratively with HRBPs to balance admin and advisory workloads.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in HR operations, shared services, or advisory roles.
  • Most recent background in Financial Services, Insurance or Professional Services.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • A background in permanent roles rather than short-term or contract-based positions, to ensure deep understanding of organisational culture and continuity.
  • Strong understanding of HR administration and employee relations.
  • Experience managing or leading small HR teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Workday or similar HRIS.
  • Process-oriented with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
