Your new company An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Capital Projects Manager to join a leading UK leisure and wellbeing organisation responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of leisure centres, health clubs and community facilities nationwide.

The organisation is investing significantly in its estate and is seeking a driven professional to lead the successful delivery of capital projects ranging from refurbishments and life cycle improvements through to major redevelopment programmes.

Your new role Working closely with senior stakeholders, contractors, consultants and operational teams, the Capital Projects Manager will oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing project strategies, managing procurement processes and ensuring projects align with wider organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of capital projects across a diverse property portfolio.

Manage project budgets, programmes and financial reporting.

Appoint, coordinate and manage external consultants, contractors and project teams.

Oversee feasibility studies, business cases and project planning activities.

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, statutory requirements and governance procedures.

Monitor project performance and mitigate risks throughout the project life cycle.

Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Contribute to long-term asset management and estate improvement strategies.

Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will possess: Significant experience delivering capital projects within property, construction, leisure, public sector or commercial environments.

A recognised qualification in construction, surveying, project management or a related discipline.

Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong contract management and procurement knowledge.

Excellent financial and budget management skills.

Sound knowledge of CDM regulations and construction health and safety requirements.

Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

The ability to work strategically whilst maintaining a hands-on approach to project delivery.
