Full-time Business Support Officer, based in Yardley, Birmingham, January Start. £13.45 per hour
Your new company
Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking for a Business Support Officer to join the Street Scene and Parks team. Being the largest leading local authority in the whole of Europe, Birmingham City Council are renowned for their expertise in public services and endless opportunities. Birmingham City Council provides the city’s residents with a number of services to ensure stability within citizens daily lives.
Your new role
This is a full-time position, working fully on site in Yardley, New Bridge Depot. You will support the team by processing and maintaining vehicle records, staff records, annual leave tracking and hours. You will also be responsible for processing PO orders and invoices, tracking the use of Hand on Vibration equipment and collecting fuel receipts and processing VAT. You will also cover general ad in duties, e.g. photo copy, scanning, archiving, shredding etc. Working hours for this role are 7am – 2:50pm, Monday to Friday.
What you’ll need to succeed
Candidates with administration experience will benefit from this role, you will also need good communication and report building as you will liaise with your colleagues daily. This role will be to start in January, which before starting you will need to pass your reference and compliance checks, upon registration please have your 2 most recent employment details available for reference checks.
