Our client is a Main contractor with an established business and team. They have a current need for a Business Development Manager, to join them in London. Their target projects range from £1M-10M focusing on High End Residential & Hospitality (new build and interiors).
In this Lead role, you will be reporting to and working closely with the Operations Director, Bid/Commercial team and be responsible for work winning, developing new leads and additional business.
You will:
- Present to potential clients and consultants through direct communication, in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails.
- Attend meetings and events with clients and potential clients, including industry events and trade shows.
- Generate leads and appointments for preliminary interviews and briefings.
- Report on Business Development activities to the management.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities ensuring that all deadlines are met, and that information presented meets the company standards.
- Assist in the creation of client proposals and any subsequent documentation as part of the submission team.
- Work closely with the estimating and technical team.
You will have:
- Recognised industry qualification and / or a proven relevant track record.
- Significant experience in business development activities in the construction/property industry.
- Exceptional relationship management and networking abilities coupled with a genuine passion for the sector - Construction & Property.
