We are urgently looking for an experienced Locum Substance Misuse/Detox Nurse to join our client's team in Bromley. If you are interested, please read the details below:
- Location: Bromley, South London.
- Hours: Mon to Fri 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, occasionally on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 8pm.
- Dates: ASAP 6 months (Temporary Contract will be reviewed after 6 months)
- Pay Rate: £33/hr (PAYE) or £37/hr (Umbrella)
Your new role:
- To undertake Health and Wellbeing assessments
- To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxification
- To assist in the titration process for opioid users
- To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing
- Provide Hepatitis A and or B vaccinations when indicated.
- To refer to specialist inpatient services
- To offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Current NMC registration
- Previous experience in a similar role at a Drug Treatment service, forensics, prison or other similar background
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
