Your new company is a respected specialist contractor delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment schemes nationwide. Projects are predominantly fast-track, valued between £200k-£1m, across the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors. This newly created position has been introduced to support ongoing expansion and offers excellent scope for career development.

Your new role as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor involves managing 2-4 projects from tender stage through to final account. You will work closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, suppliers and clients to ensure projects are delivered profitably, compliantly and to programme, often within live trading environments. Projects will be smaller fast track schemes in the hospitality fit-out and refurbishment sectors. You will be based from the Bristol office with regular travel to sites across the UK.

You will manage the commercial process from tender stage through to final account, including cost planning, procurement and subcontractor management. Working closely with site teams and stakeholders, you will control costs, manage variations and valuations, and negotiate best value across fast-track projects. You will also attend progress meetings, report on commercial performance and ensure full compliance with contractual, company and health & safety requirements.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit-out, refurbishment, hospitality or retail projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple schemes simultaneously.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline is required.
  • RICS accreditation is desirable but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence to support nationwide travel.
