Your new company: You will be joining a growing highway street furniture specialist subcontractor delivering works minor civils across England. The business works closely with Tier 1 contractors and local authority clients on long-term frameworks and has a strong and increasing forward workload.
Your new role: As a site‑based Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the on-site delivery of street furniture works across multiple locations in England. The role is delivery‑focused and will involve regular site presence, managing supervisors and operatives, and acting as the key point of contact with the client.
Key duties will include:
- Managing the delivery of highways street furniture packages on site
- Coordinating supervisors, gangs and subcontractors
- Liaising with Tier 1 contractors, agents and local authority clients
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to quality standards
- Completing and overseeing site paperwork, RAMS and permits
- Attending site meetings and progress reviews
- Supporting minor civils and associated enabling works
This role requires nationwide travel, with day shifts and occasional night work depending on project requirements.
What you'll need to succeed: Proven experience delivering highways or street furniture works on site, strong site leadership and coordination skills, CSCS card essential, SSSTS as a minimum, flexibility to travel across England. SMSTS and previous Contracts Manager experience are desirable but not essential. Experienced Supervisors looking to step up into a Contracts Manager role will also be considered, with support and development provided.
