As Commercial Pricing Manager, you will act as a trusted commercial business partner, helping drive profitable growth through strategic pricing, commercial analysis and stakeholder influence. This is a newly created position where you'll have the opportunity to build pricing capability, introduce best practice, and establish yourself as a key adviser to senior leaders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the go-to pricing specialist, advising senior stakeholders on commercial opportunities, bids and key client proposals.
- Supporting the development and negotiation of complex fee arrangements, including fixed fees, retainers, subscriptions and alternative pricing models.
- Partnering with business development and bid teams to strengthen commercial propositions and improve win rates.
- Building financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, profitability and commercial risks.
- Analysing client, project and portfolio profitability to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Developing pricing frameworks, playbooks and tools to support commercial decision-making.
- Presenting complex financial analysis in a clear and compelling way to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Delivering commercial and pricing training to improve capability across the wider business.
- Driving continuous improvement in pricing governance, processes and reporting.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging service models to support future growth and innovation.
- Supporting the full client life cycle, from initial opportunity through to project delivery, profitability and cash collection.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a commercial pricing, commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering role within a professional services environment.
- Strong pricing and financial modelling expertise, with a clear understanding of how pricing influences profitability and business growth.
- Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building strong working relationships.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and convert insight into actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting bids, tenders, proposals and client negotiations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance client expectations, profitability and long-term strategic objectives.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Experience developing dashboards, management information and business intelligence reporting.
- Ability to design and deliver training and coaching programmes.
- Advanced Excel skills alongside experience using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
