Your new role
As a Freelance Estimator, you will provide estimating support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate and timely estimates for ongoing projects
- Advising senior management on commercial influences and risks
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to gather cost data
- Ensuring supplier/subcontractor terms align with client requirements and assessing any deviations
- Prioritising workload to meet business needs
- Influencing key stakeholders and implementing process improvements
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience within the water or utilities industry
- Strong Excel proficiency
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating for water/wastewater projects
- Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
