Hays are working with a reputable organisation seeking a Part-Time Finance Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for the next few months. Your New Role
In this varied and fast-paced role, you will provide essential administrative and transactional support to the finance team. Key responsibilities include:
- Purchase Orders & Invoicing
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and checking for accuracy.
- Highlighting missing or incorrect PO information and escalating where required.
- Ensuring all documentation is processed in a timely and compliant manner.
- Finance Inbox Management
- Acting as the first point of contact for the shared Finance Inbox.
- Monitoring, triaging, and responding to queries.
- Directing emails to the appropriate person when required and ensuring efficient follow-up.
- Customer & Supplier Accounts
- Receiving and reconciling customer and supplier statements.
- Identifying discrepancies and following up on missing invoices or credit notes.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes.
- General Finance Support
- Providing wider administrative support to the finance team.
- Assisting during busy periods and contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial data.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
- Competence with finance systems and Microsoft Office.
