Your new role
Bookkeeper – Role OverviewThis hands-on bookkeeping position supports the finance function with accurate and timely management of financial records and transactions.
Key responsibilities include: Core Accounting Duties

  • Processing purchase and subcontractor invoices
  • Raising quarterly sales invoices
  • Entering bank payments and receipts with correct allocation
  • Posting monthly wage journals

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Monthly intercompany balance reconciliation
  • Ad-hoc loan and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Monthly CIS reporting and quarterly VAT submissions via Sage 50

Financial Administration

  • Setting up payments on NatWest online banking
  • Filing purchase invoices and maintaining organised records
  • Supporting cash flow management through aged creditor reports and daily bank monitoring

Ad-Hoc Support

  • Assisting with various finance-related tasks as needed

What you\’ll need to succeed

  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts would be advantageous (ideally for CIS).
  • Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Experience of intercompany accounting and loan reconciliations
  • Solid Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation
  • Capable of handling ad-hoc tasks and multitasking effectively
