A fast-growing, Top 40 accountancy and advisory firm is seeking an R&D Tax Reliefs Manager to join its expanding team. As an R&D Tax Reliefs Manager, you will play a key role in the continued growth and development of the R&D offering, working closely with experienced tax professionals and accountants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking full ownership of R&D tax relief claims from initial scoping through to submission
- Managing and overseeing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Preparing detailed and technically robust R&D technical reports
- Producing accurate and comprehensive costings for claims
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships
- Ensuring technical compliance and staying up to date with evolving R&D legislation and HMRC guidance
- Supporting the wider team and contributing to the development of the R&D function
What you'll need to succeed:
- Have proven experience managing R&D tax relief claims (typically 3+ years)
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across UK R&D tax legislation
- Be confident managing your own client portfolio and relationships
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Be commercially aware and motivated to contribute to business growth
- Be confident using systems and technology to enhance delivery
