Your new company You will be joining a contract-led infrastructure business, operating across major long-term frameworks.

The organisation is PE-backed, commercially driven, and continues to invest heavily in its finance and commercial capabilities as its portfolio grows.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to support a key contract within its operational portfolio.

The business delivers essential services to clients and is currently focused on improving financial performance, cash generation and operational efficiency across a significant contract area.

This is an interim appointment created to provide additional leadership capacity during a period of change and improvement.

Your new role As Interim Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of five, including senior and operational commercial professionals, whilst providing financial leadership across a major client contract.

You will take ownership of forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis, translating operational and commercial data into meaningful financial insight for senior stakeholders.

A key focus of the role will be improving cash collection performance, strengthening financial controls and introducing greater rigour to existing processes.

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will identify opportunities to improve margins, convert margin into cash generation and drive continuous process improvement.

The role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to quickly understand existing challenges, implement change and deliver measurable results.

What you'll need to succeed Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be considered.

Previous experience operating at Finance Business Partner, Senior Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager or equivalent level.

Strong forecasting, reporting and financial analysis experience.

Proven ability to drive process improvements and challenge existing ways of working.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both operational and commercial teams.

Experience managing and developing teams.

A proactive and commercially focused approach with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll get in return Day rate of £450-£550 Inside IR35.

Initial 6-9 month contract with potential for extension.

Hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days per week in the office in Lancashire.

Expensed travel between offices when occasionally required.
