The predicted salary is between 64000 - 76000 £ per year.

We are urgently looking for an experienced Locum Substance Misuse to join our client's team in Blackpool, Lancashire. If you are interested, please read the details below:

  • Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (3 days between Monday to Friday 22.5 hours per week - you can choose which days to work)
  • Dates: ASAP 2 months (Temporary Contract, will be reviewed after 2 months)
  • Pay Rate: £32/hr PAYE or £38 umbrella (strictly no limited companies)

Your new role:

  • Undertake physical and mental health assessments and sign post/refer to primary care or appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues.
  • To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxification.
  • Assist in the titration process for opiate service users.
  • To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing.
  • If trained - provide Hepatitis B vaccinations, undertake phlebotomy.
  • Contribute to Naloxone Strategy.
  • Offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing to service users.
  • Utilise psychosocial intervention including Integrated Test and Evaluation Plans in both one-to-one and group settings.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current NMC registration
  • Previous solid experience of working as a substance misuse nurse
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
