Hays are working with an established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Preston to recruit an Audit Semi Senior. The firm works with a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed businesses and offers an excellent environment for someone looking to develop their audit experience and progress towards qualification.
Your new role
As an Audit Semi Senior, you will work as part of an experienced team, supporting audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the planning and completion of external audit assignments
- Carrying out audit fieldwork and preparing high-quality working papers
- Liaising directly with clients and resolving queries
- Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets
- Supporting junior members of the team where required
- Maintaining high technical and professional standards
- Developing your technical knowledge as you progress through your studies
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified with previous external audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.You'll be confident communicating with clients, have good organisational skills and be comfortable managing multiple assignments. Most importantly, you'll be keen to continue developing technically and progress your career within audit.
