An established and growing professional services firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team in Worcestershire. As a Tax Manager, you will work across both advisory and compliance matters, supporting a varied client portfolio while developing trusted client relationships. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring work is delivered accurately and to HMRC deadlines.
  • Supporting and delivering a range of tax advisory projects, including restructuring, share schemes, R&D-related matters and tax planning assignments.
  • Identifying tax risks and opportunities and providing practical recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborating with wider service teams to ensure seamless delivery of client work.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and communicating relevant impacts.
  • Reviewing work, providing technical guidance and supporting the development of junior team members.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • A strong UK tax background gained within professional practice.
  • Experience managing client portfolios and reviewing tax work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax and/or personal tax.
  • Experience working with owner-managed businesses.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Previous exposure to advisory projects and experience mentoring or managing junior staff.
