Due to continued growth within its Building Engineering team, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior MEP Building Services Project BIM Manager to join the Birmingham office and play a key role in the delivery of complex BIM and digital engineering projects.
Your new role
As a Senior MEP Building Services Project BIM Manager, you will be responsible for leading BIM delivery across major building services projects, ensuring the successful production and coordination of models, drawings and project data throughout the project lifecycle. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality BIM solutions while driving innovation and best practice across project teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning, development and delivery of BIM models, drawings and project information.
- Acting as the focal point for BIM coordination across multidisciplinary projects.
- Developing and implementing BIM delivery strategies and execution plans.
- Coordinating design information with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.
- Managing project BIM workflows to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting BIM technicians and junior team members.
- Monitoring project progress and communicating risks, issues and opportunities to project leadership teams.
- Supporting the implementation of structured data and information management processes.
- Driving innovation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery.
- Providing technical BIM support and guidance to the wider building engineering team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit within an MEP Building Services environment.
- Strong knowledge of model creation, family management, drawing production and BIM workflows.
- A solid background in MEP Building Services coordination across a variety of project sectors.
- A thorough understanding of BIM standards, quality requirements and information management processes.
- Experience implementing BIM Execution Plans and delivering coordinated BIM projects.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Autodesk Forma.
- Experience managing and developing others through coaching, mentoring and technical support.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with external clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
