This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing environmental team working on a landmark project that is helping to shape the future of sustainable transport in the UK.Your new role As Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance and best practice across a large-scale civil engineering and construction programme. Working closely with construction teams, subcontractors and environmental specialists, you will provide expert advice and guidance to support the project's environmental commitments and legal obligations.Key responsibilities will include:Providing environmental support and advice to project delivery teams across active construction sites.Monitoring compliance with environmental management plans, permits, consents and licence requirements.Undertaking site inspections, audits and environmental monitoring activities.Supporting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions where required.Working closely with operational teams to identify environmental risks and opportunities for improvement.Assisting with stakeholder engagement, including liaison with regulators, local authorities and environmental bodies.Preparing environmental reports and supporting project performance reviews.Promoting a positive environmental culture throughout the project and supply chain.What you'll need to succeed Experience in an Environmental Advisor or Senior Environmental Advisor role within construction, infrastructure, rail, highways or civil engineering.Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and environmental management systems.Experience undertaking site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring activities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence project teams and drive environmental best practice.Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.Membership of IEMA or a relevant professional body would be advantageous.What you'll get in return Salary of 50,000 - 65,000 depending on experience.Attractive company package including car allowance and bonus opportunities.Opportunity to work on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.Clear progression and professional development opportunities.Support towards professional memberships and further training.Flexible and collaborative working environment.Long-term project pipeline and strong job security.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
