The organisation is committed to professional development, flexible working and supporting employees in achieving their long-term career ambitions, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced EIA professional looking to take the next step in their career.Your new role As a Principal or Associate Environmental Consultant, you will take a leading role in the delivery and management of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects across a diverse portfolio, including highways improvement schemes, water infrastructure projects, anaerobic digestion facilities and wider development projects.You’ll work on a hybrid basis from their Birmingham office, with WFH options.Responsibilities will include:Leading and coordinating EIA projects from inception through to delivery.Acting as EIA Project Manager and/or EIA Coordinator on multidisciplinary projects.Providing technical environmental advice and quality assurance.Preparing and reviewing Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and environmental documentation.Managing project programmes, budgets and resource requirements.Supporting bid preparation, tender submissions and work-winning activities.Building and maintaining relationships with clients, regulators and key stakeholders.Working closely with internal technical specialists and partner organisations to deliver integrated project solutions.Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members.Contributing to strategic business development and increasing client engagement opportunities.What you'll need to succeed Degree-qualified in an environmental, planning or related discipline.Significant EIA consultancy experience, ideally gained within infrastructure, transport, water, energy or development sectors.Experience managing and coordinating complex environmental projects.Strong understanding of UK EIA legislation and environmental assessment processes.Proven client-facing and stakeholder management experience.Experience preparing bids, tenders and proposals.Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills.Chartered status, or actively working towards chartership, would be advantageous.What you'll get in return Competitive salary of 50,000 to 70,000 depending on experience and level.discretionary bonus opportunitiesHybrid and flexible working arrangementsPrivate medical insuranceDental insuranceEmployee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support initiativesCompany pension scheme with 5% employer contributionLife assurance (4x salary)Income protection coverEnhanced family-friendly policiesProfessional membership fees paid (up to two relevant subscriptions)Chartership bonus upon achieving professional statusCycle to Work scheme and electric vehicle benefitSeason ticket loansGym and lifestyle discountsVolunteering leave and charity giving schemeOngoing learning and development support through a structured L&D platformEmployee referral bonus schemeRegular social and networking eventsLong service recognition awardsCompany sick pay schemeWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
