Your new company
Due to future succession planning, a new opportunity has arisen for a Personal Tax professional in South Birmingham. This growing firm is now seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to work closely with Partners to ensure the smooth running of personal tax services within this office.
Your new role
As the Tax Manager in this office, you will take responsibility for overseeing the returns process whilst managing your own portfolio. You will also work alongside the Partners to provide tax advisory support across a variety of personal tax matters, working with business owners and HNWIs. You will review returns, oversee statutory tax filing deadlines and will ensure client expectations are being met by the team whilst having a personal focus on more complex compliance for a small number of clients. Typically, advisory work will be around inheritance tax, trusts, capital gains tax and other issues affecting private individuals.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have good UK personal tax technical knowledge and significant experience working in tax within an accountancy practice. Relevant accountancy and/or tax qualifications would be preferred and highly beneficial, however strong personal tax experience and technical knowledge is key.
