You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to inspire excellent learning.The Design Technology department currently offers GCSE Product Design at Key Stage 4. In 2026/27, the department will also continue to support our existing Year 11 cohort completing NCFE Engineering, although this qualification is being phased out as part of our curriculum development. At Key Stage 5, we offer the AAQ Engineering qualification to our current Year 13 cohort, providing students with a strong vocational pathway into engineering, design, manufacturing and related sectors.The department benefits from dedicated specialist rooms and equipment, including practical workshop spaces and two classrooms with ICT facilities, supporting both theoretical and practical aspects of the curriculum.The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in Design Technology or a closely related subject, with a track record of excellent teaching in this area. Experience in teaching both Level 2 and 3 courses would be advantageous.As a school we have a fabulous CPD offer to support colleagues at whatever point in their career they are, from our ITT to our senior leaders.
