Job opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience of contract accounting. Our client is a national outsourcing organisation, who manage a high volume of contracts on behalf of 3rd parties, where innovation, teamwork and service excellence are at the heart of everything.
As a Commercial Contract Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting several major contracts, providing both financial and commercial insight to drive decision-making. Responsibilities include:
- Producing accurate monthly accounts
- Full P&L and balance sheet ownership
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and group policies
- Leading financial analysis
- Identifying performance trends
- Supporting cost reduction initiatives
- Presenting insights to senior stakeholders
- Managing budgets and forecasts
- Supporting audits
- Improving processes
- Acting as the key finance contact for the contracts
What you'll need to succeed: You will be an experienced accountant with strong technical knowledge, including IFRS, and a proven background in contract or long-term project accounting. You’ll be detail-oriented but able to see the bigger picture, with experience building relationships and driving improvements. Experience within Facilities Management or PFI contracts would be advantageous.
