Job opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience of contract accounting.

Our client is a national outsourcing organisation, who manage a high volume of contracts on behalf of 3rd parties, where innovation, teamwork and service excellence are at the heart of everything.

As a Commercial Contract Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting several major contracts, providing both financial and commercial insight to drive decision-making. Responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate monthly accounts
  • Full P&L and balance sheet ownership
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and group policies
  • Leading financial analysis
  • Identifying performance trends
  • Supporting cost reduction initiatives
  • Presenting insights to senior stakeholders
  • Managing budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting audits
  • Improving processes
  • Acting as the key finance contact for the contracts

You will be an experienced accountant with strong technical knowledge, including IFRS, and a proven background in contract or long-term project accounting. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders. You’ll be detail-oriented but able to see the bigger picture, with experience building relationships and driving improvements. Experience within Facilities Management or PFI contracts would be advantageous.
