Corporate Tax Senior in Birkenhead

Your new company A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior to join its expanding tax team. Your new role As a Corporate Tax Senior, you'll be responsible for managing a varied workload across corporate tax compliance while also gaining exposure to wider advisory and project work.Your responsibilities will include: Preparing corporation tax computations and returns for a range of clients, including UK and overseas groups Advising clients on corporation tax payments Supporting the wider accounts and audit teams with corporate tax matters Preparing tax figures for inclusion within statutory accounts Assisting with R&D tax relief claims Liaising with HMRC and other third parties Supporting larger tax projects, including capital allowances claims Undertaking technical research into different areas of tax legislation What you'll need to succeed You'll ideally have 3-4 years' corporate tax experience, with the ability to prepare corporation tax computations for SME clients independently. You'll also have a good understanding of company accounts and be comfortable managing your own workload and deadlines. You'll be someone who is keen to develop technically and enjoys working collaboratively within a wider tax and accountancy team.Ideally, you'll be part ACA/ACCA qualified or ATT qualified, although experience and suitability for the role will also be important.
