Award Winning Main Contractor with-fantastic culture seeks to appoint a Bid Writer to their team in Glasgow.
Your new company
Our client are an award-winning Main Contractor based in Glasgow who have an exceptional reputation for the delivery of complex building projects in their core sectors in Scotland. Working across the education, leisure and commercial space they can offer their employees a varied and stimulating range of projects to work on and a positive culture to work in. To bolster their preconstruction and work winning team, they are now seeking to appoint a Bid Writer to their team in Glasgow.
Your new role
As Bid writer, you will play a crucial role in securing new projects by coordinating the preparation of detailed proposals and tenders. From completing initial PQQS to crafting compelling and persuasive content for bids and tenders, you will be a fundamental part of our clients’ winning work and front end team. You must be able to get under the skin of your clients’ business to ensure its DNA is present in the content you develop, and you must ensure it is aligned with their values and culture. You will be working as part of a team from your Bid Manager to Commercial Manager and Estimating to collate and gather all relevant information to compile compelling tenders and bids.
What you’ll need to succeed
As a bid writer, you could come from a variety of backgrounds, but the ideal candidate will be working in a similar role already and has a solid understanding of the construction market in Scotland and how work is won across its key sectors. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are proficient in putting together work winning bid documentation with standard tools such as MS office.
