As a Programme Manager, you’ll take full ownership of end-to-end delivery, working with build partners, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure targets are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure programmes and enjoys motivating teams to deliver results.

Role Details

  • Location: Bellshill (hybrid – once/twice per week on-site) with regional travel, including Scotland
  • Rate: £550 per day (inside IR35)
  • Contract Length: 26 weeks (with visibility to extend)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage regional build partners to deliver fibre upgrades on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
  • Own and deliver the regional programme plan, ensuring homes passed targets are achieved
  • Build strong working relationships with local authorities, managing expectations and ensuring smooth delivery
  • Oversee budget management, forecasting, and cost control (circa £80m+ programme)
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure programme alignment and throughput
  • Monitor performance through KPIs, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large-scale fibre or telecoms infrastructure rollout programmes is preferred
  • Strong understanding of FTTH / FTTx network delivery is preferred
  • Strong IT background
  • Experience working with external build partners, contractors, and local authorities
  • Demonstrated budget management and governance experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong leadership capability with a focus on team engagement and performance
