A leading provider of cost management and multidisciplinary services within the built environment is seeking to appoint a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning multiple sectors.

As a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral member of the team, managing multiple projects for a broad range of clients. You will take ownership of projects of varying scale and complexity, whilst developing strong relationships with both clients and colleagues. You will be responsible for delivering full cost management services from feasibility through to final account, including both pre- and post-contract duties.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cost plans, feasibility studies, tender documentation, and pre-tender estimates
  • Advising on procurement strategies and contract selection
  • Attending client, site, and design team meetings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Preparing robust contract documentation, including Letters of Intent
  • Managing key commercial activities including the preparation of cost reports, agreement of monthly valuations, valuation of variations, and negotiation of final accounts
  • Managing relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors

You will be MRICS qualified with strong experience across both pre- and post-contract cost management, particularly in cost planning and commercial delivery. Experience working across a range of sectors such as residential, commercial, education, and leisure is desirable.

You will have a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong understanding of both JCT and NEC forms of contract. Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships are essential.

A proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines will be key to your success in this role.
