Your new role
As Project Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering projects across the airport closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders. You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating civil engineering works from planning through to completion
- Overseeing contractors and consultants on site
- Supporting the delivery of infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and improvement projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Monitoring project programmes, costs, quality and progress
- Ensuring works comply with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements
- Coordinating works within a live operational environment
- Attending project, progress and site meetings
- Identifying and resolving technical and site-related issues
- Supporting handover, completion and project close-out activities
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Civil Engineer or Site/Project Engineering position
- Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of construction methods, specifications and technical drawings
- Strong contractor and stakeholder-management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery
- Experience within airports, highways, utilities, infrastructure or other operational environments would be particularly beneficial.
