Location: Home-based with travel across the territoryThe OpportunityThis is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join an established and successful business at a significant point in its growth. With ambitious plans to expand further across the UK, the business has identified substantial opportunities within markets that are largely untapped. The infrastructure, product knowledge, expertise and support are already firmly in place. What they need now is the right person to build the relationships, open doors and turn that potential into long-term commercial success. This is not a high-volume, aggressive sales role. The business wins through credibility, patience and strong relationships. Customers take time to develop and trust has to be earned, so the successful person will be someone who understands the value of a consultative, relationship-led approach. The role will be approximately 50% account management and 50% new business development, giving you the best of both worlds: an existing customer portfolio to manage and grow, alongside significant scope to develop entirely new relationships and markets. What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll take ownership of your territory, with autonomy to identify where the greatest opportunities lie and develop a strategy for growth.Responsibilities will include:Managing and developing an existing portfolio of customersBuilding trusted, long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to increase business within existing accountsIdentifying and developing new customers and marketsProspecting strategically rather than relying on high-volume cold salesUnderstanding customer needs and providing a consultative, solutions-led approachDeveloping relationships over time and becoming a trusted commercial partnerIdentifying the strongest opportunities across a broad and largely untapped marketplaceMonitoring competitor activity and wider market trendsManaging your territory effectively and maintaining accurate CRM informationWorking closely with colleagues across the wider businessFeeding market intelligence and customer insight back into the businessSupporting commercial and marketing initiativesAttending relevant exhibitions, events and customer meetingsHelping shape the future direction and growth of the territoryWho Are We Looking For?You do not need to come from a particular industry. We’re much more interested in how you sell and build relationships than the sector you have previously worked within. You could currently be working as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager or Sales Executive. You’re likely to be someone who:Has a proven background in B2B sales, account management or business developmentBuilds strong, credible relationships with customersTakes a patient, consultative approach to winning new businessUnderstands that the best commercial relationships aren't always won overnightCan develop an existing account base while also creating new opportunitiesIs comfortable prospecting and opening doors in new marketsHas strong negotiation and communication skillsCan work autonomously and effectively manage a geographical territoryIs commercially curious and enjoys finding opportunities others may not have exploredIs comfortable travelling to meet customers as requiredUses CRM systems effectively to manage activity and opportunitiesAbove all, we’re looking for the right person. Someone credible, personable and commercially minded who can earn the respect of customers and build relationships that translate into sustainable, long-term growth. Why Join? There are millions of pounds' worth of potential opportunities available across existing and new markets. The business has the expertise, knowledge and support to capitalise on them, but many of these markets have not yet been fully developed. That gives you a rare opportunity to join a business where you won't simply be maintaining someone else's territory. You'll have the freedom to build on an established customer base while creating something of your own. You'll receive:48,500 basic salary, depending on experienceAnnual bonusCompany car and fuel cardHome-based workingLaptop and mobile phone37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday25 days' annual leave plus Bank HolidaysCompany pension schemeSignificant autonomy over your territoryAn established customer base alongside substantial new-business potentialSupport, knowledge and expertise from an established wider teamThe opportunity to join at an exciting period of growthIf you're a relationship-led sales professional who enjoys developing accounts, opening new markets and having the freedom to shape your own territory, this could be an excellent next step. xsabvtc Apply today for a confidential discussion and further information about the opportunity. #4840148 - Katie Craig
