Your New Company A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving a positive safety culture across office, fabrication and site-based operations while supporting continuous improvement and environmental compliance initiatives.

Your New Role As Health, Safety & Environmental Officer, you will provide practical HSE advice and support across the business, ensuring compliance with current legislation, company procedures, and industry best practices.

Key duties will include: Provide HSE guidance and support to managers, supervisors and employees.

Promote a positive safety culture and encourage continuous improvement across all departments.

Develop, review and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Conduct workplace inspections across manufacturing, workshop and site environments.

Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation and compliance reports.

Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Support emergency preparedness planning and testing across multiple locations.

Participate in site safety walks, toolbox talks and daily briefings.

Liaise with clients, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are maintained.

Monitor environmental compliance and assist with sustainability initiatives.

What You'll Need to Succeed Previous experience in a Health & Safety Officer, HSE Advisor or similar role within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, construction or industrial environments.

Strong knowledge of current UK Health & Safety legislation.

Experience carrying out risk assessments, incident investigations and workplace inspections.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred.

Full UK driving licence desirable.
