Due to continued growth and increased demand, a well-established and expanding manufacturing business specialising in structural steel and fabrication solutions is seeking a Fabrication & Assembly Manager to join its Lisburn operation. With a strong reputation for quality and ongoing investment in its people and production capabilities, this is an exciting time to join the organisation.

As Fabrication & Assembly Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading fabrication and assembly operations, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role where you will drive performance, support business growth and implement continuous improvement.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading daily fabrication and assembly operations to meet production and delivery targets
  • Managing labour utilisation, costs and operational efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, ISO3834 and EN1090 (CE) standards
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured to specification
  • Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions
  • Promoting a strong health & safety culture across all operations
  • Overseeing paint line, stores and dispatch functions
  • Leading, coaching and developing production teams

You will be an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in fabrication and welding, capable of supporting a growing business in a fast-paced environment.

You will have:

  • Proven leadership experience within fabrication or heavy manufacturing
  • Strong technical knowledge of welding and structural steel fabrication
  • Experience managing teams and delivering against production targets
  • A solid understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and people management ability

Desirable:

  • Experience with EN1090, ISO9001 and ISO3834 standards
  • Exposure to high-volume manufacturing environments
