You will be joining a well-established and growing organisation operating across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The business is known for its strong market presence, commitment to operational excellence, and continuous investment in systems, people, and processes. Your new role as a key member of the finance team includes:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and ROI subsidiary reporting.
- Year-end audit preparation and statutory accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with all financial reporting obligations.
- Supervising the Accounts Administrator and maintaining sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
- Overseeing reconciliations and month-end processes.
- Managing payroll on a weekly and monthly basis, including pensions, and setting up BACS/FPS payments for approval.
- Overseeing VAT and statutory returns across NI and ROI, including Intrastats.
- Managing credit control and internal systems and IT responsibilities.
- Maintaining supplier and KPI reporting and contributing to ongoing business improvements.
- Supporting operational processes including stock control, contracts, and internal job tracking.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- An experienced finance professional, ideally fully qualified or QBE, with strong knowledge of management accounts and statutory reporting.
- Experience working across NI and ROI jurisdictions, including VAT and payroll legislation.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
- A proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience supervising staff and overseeing broader business operations or systems would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
