To ensure that the school environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety, providing a clean and welcoming setting for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, stairwells, toilets, staff rooms, and communal areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
- Dusting and wiping furniture, fixtures, fittings, and high-touch surfaces.
- Cleaning and sanitising washroom facilities and replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with school procedures.
- Reporting maintenance issues, breakages, or health and safety concerns.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used appropriately and stored safely.
- Following all Health & Safety, COSHH, safeguarding, and security procedures.
- Assisting with periodic deep cleaning and school holiday cleaning as required.
- Working independently and efficiently to complete allocated tasks within agreed timescales.

- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, educational, healthcare, or similar environment.
- Experience of working to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
