Your new role
As an Associate Director in Electrical Engineering, you'll take a leading role in delivering transformational projects across the water sector, including water treatment works, wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and network upgrades. You will provide technical leadership, oversee electrical engineering design and delivery, set quality standards, and ensure excellence across the full project lifecycle from concept design through to construction support. Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally to create integrated engineering solutions that meet the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage teams delivering electrical design to UK and industry standards.
- Define briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to winning bids.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables.
- Develop and grow electrical engineering capability within the practice.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance across all deliverables.
What you'll need to succeed
- Chartered Electrical Engineer with strong leadership experience.
- Extensive technical background in LV and HV systems, MCCs/switchgear, industrial/process installations, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX compliance, SLD/BCD production, earthing and bonding.
- Essential: Experience working in the water or wastewater industry, such as water treatment works, pumping stations, or other water sector infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Proven experience managing teams, budgets, and complex project lifecycles.
