Role Overview:
As HR Manager, you will take full ownership of the employee life cycle from attraction to exit, within a fast-paced commercial manufacturing environment. This is a standalone role, offering the autonomy to shape and deliver a high-impact people agenda. Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to build organisational capability, enhance engagement, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to develop and deliver a people strategy aligned to business goals.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and managers across the organisation.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, developing robust talent pipelines and succession plans.
- Drive performance and development, including performance management, training, and career progression initiatives.
- Provide expert HR advice on employee relations, using a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
- Support organisational design and change, improving structure, engagement, and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain HR policies in line with best practice and evolving employment law.
- Champion employee wellbeing, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Oversee HR systems and data, ensuring accuracy, GDPR compliance, and meaningful reporting.
- Deliver onboarding and HR inductions, creating a strong employee experience from day one.
- Manage HR metrics and casework, providing insights for decision-making and audit readiness.
- Continuously improve HR processes, modernising and streamlining operations.
- Support benefits administration and partner with Finance to review offerings annually.
About You:
- A commercially minded HR Manager / HR BP, ideally with experience in manufacturing or a fast-paced blue-collar environment.
- Proven ability to operate in a standalone HR role, managing both strategic and operational priorities.
- Strong generalist HR expertise across the full employee life cycle.
- Confident influencer with the ability to coach and challenge leaders.
- Ideally qualified to level 5 of the CIPD or above or equivalent.
