NEC Site Supervisor (Contract)

Location: South West England

Duration: Mid October 2026 to 31 March 2027 (with potential extension)

Hours: Full-time

Working Pattern: Site-based, 6-day working programme

We are seeking an experienced NEC Site Supervisor to support the delivery of major highways infrastructure projects across the South West. This is a site-based role providing construction supervision, technical assurance, and stakeholder coordination throughout the construction phase of multiple civil engineering schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day site supervision during construction activities.
  • Monitor works to ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements, design specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Undertake construction assurance and technical inspection activities.
  • Support project stakeholders through effective communication and coordination.
  • Identify and escalate construction, quality, or safety concerns as required.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and assurance documentation.
  • Assist with the management of contractor performance and adherence to programme requirements.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of highways and infrastructure schemes through proactive site presence and oversight.

Who we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working as an NEC Site Supervisor on highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction assurance, site supervision, and NEC contract environments.
  • Experience liaising with contractors, designers, and project stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements on construction projects.
  • A background in Geotechnical Engineering is desirable
  • Experience with drainage schemes and associated construction activities.
