A growing SME with ambitious plans seeks to appoint a hands-on Financial Accountant. We're partnering with a growing SME with a fantastic culture who seek to appoint a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a high-performing finance team and play a key role in managing the month-end timetable across a busy close-knit finance function.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of core financial accounting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly and year-end statutory accounts
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
- Preparation and posting of journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assisting with financial reporting
- Supporting process improvements and system enhancements
- Providing technical accounting support to the wider finance team
What you'll need to succeed
We welcome applications from qualified accountants or those soon to qualify with solid financial reporting experience and month-end skills. You will demonstrate a hands-on approach and evidence the process improvement projects you have been a part of in order to showcase your contribution to your prior employers.
