Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Customs Support Assistant to join our client on an ongoing long term temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months.
Location: Oxford
Assignment type: Temporary, ongoing basis where you will be engaged via Hays
Working environment: Hybrid 3 days on site 2 days remote

Your new role: We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Customs Support Assistant to join our UK & Ireland team. The successful candidate will support the team by providing administrative assistance comprising collating and sorting customs relevant documentation such as delivery notes, invoices, borderos in accordance with required procedures for onward processing by the in-house Customs team. Supporting the Customs team in checking paperwork against data received in the customs system.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- No specific Customs knowledge required as all necessary training will be given
- Administration experience
- Customs experience
- IT literate – e.g. Microsoft Packages
- Organisation skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work independently
- GCSE level qualifications including Maths and English
