A leading precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC 5 Axis Setter to join its expanding machining team. As CNC 5 Axis Setter, you will be responsible for setting and proving out jobs, ensuring components are manufactured accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Setting and operating 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
Working from engineering drawings, setup sheets and CNC programs.
Setting tool and work offsets to achieve accurate component manufacture.
Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshooting machining issues and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Working closely with programming, production and quality teams.
Maintaining quality, traceability and health & safety standards throughout production.
Previous experience setting CNC milling machines within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, offsets and inspection techniques.
Background in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing environments.
Previous experience working with complex machined components.
Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £18.50 per hour basic pay. 20% shift allowance taking earnings to £19.20 - £22.20 per hour.
Permanent, full-time position.
