In this role you will lead a varied audit and accounts portfolio within a growing Ballymena practice. You will manage a team, maintain strong client relationships, and support strategic growth initiatives. You’ll oversee audit assignments end-to-end, review work, and provide advisory input. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
- Plan, coordinate and review audits from planning to completion.
- Ensure audits meet deadlines and budgets.
- Review audit files and financial statements prepared by junior staff.
- Serve as primary client contact throughout the audit process.
- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations.
- Review year-end accounts prepared under applicable standards.
- Provide accounting, business and financial reporting advice to clients.
- Assist clients with management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
- Support partners in delivering value-added advisory services.
- Lead, mentor and develop junior and part-qualified staff.
- Review work and provide constructive feedback; manage training and performance.
- Promote a collaborative and professional working environment.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand services.
- Attend client meetings and provide commercially focused advice.
- Support business development and networking activities.
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Proven experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong audit and accounts preparation experience.
- Experience managing client engagements and reviewing staff work.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
