To set the standard in the development of the materials for the future, we are looking for an Interior Surface Planner.
Your role will be to realise the design and engineering requirements of Interior Surface Parts in a production or bespoke process, delivering the optimum performance in terms of quality, cost, legal requirements and volume whilst safeguarding the health and safety of the employees with fully owned Product and Process responsibility.Evaluate new products, bespoke features and change requests.
Calculate Hkprop Product Invest, Structure Invest, headcount, launch costs and fixed costs, space requirements based upon planning assumptions – volume, timing and design sketches.
Providing manufacturing input into the business case analysis.Assess the feasibility of manufacture, providing suggestions to do so and ensuring incorporation into the design concept, ensuring engineered parts can be made to the optimum quality, cost and meet legal requirements.Based on released Design/CAD, develop the detailed timing plan, process, and costs.
Detail how the part will be manufactured, define equipment and tooling requirements. Create and maintain all necessary process documentation.Ensure legal requirements are met and recorded. Create a Design Verification Plan (DVP), produce and supply parts for testing.Detail equipment specifications, justification and raise purchase orders. Manage the suppliers, co-ordinate installation and commissioning of new machines and tooling.Manage pre-series builds as per the build plan to bring new features/new models into series production.
Create a training matrix and train Associates.Validate production or bespoke processes through capability studies, defining key characteristics for fit, form and function.
Interpret results and incorporate improvements/changes into the process as required.Ensure process times are incorporated into headcount planning, evaluate efficiency savings to continuously improve costs and achieve targets.
What you should bring along?Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline.Relevant automotive experience in a planning, production engineering or project role with the following skills:Excellent organisational, presentation and problem-solving skillsA high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiating skillsMust work effectively with internal production, development and planning functions as well as external suppliers.Good IT skills.Fluent English is essential and basic German is desirable.Knowledge of SAP
