As an Audit Manager, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of clients with fees of approximately £500,000
- Be a trusted and reliable resource for clients and partners, maintaining control over deadlines and queries
- Oversee large, complex audits and problem-solve by providing solutions to partners
- Identify and manage firm-wide risks beyond audit risk, such as reputational and credit risks
- Collate data for inspections, reviews, and audit technical enquiries
- Monitor timesheet entries to ensure proper coding and accuracy
- Ensure audit teams adhere to budgets and time allocation
- Act as the primary client contact across all audit-related areas
- Respond promptly to client queries, maintaining a high level of service
- Participate in business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and networking
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience managing teams and a client portfolio
- Strong familiarity with UK auditing, accounting standards and implementing audit methodologies
- Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear, practical way
- Experience in both substantive and controls-based audits, group reporting, and cross-border groups
- Proficiency in accounting frameworks (GAAP, FRS)
